There are a couple of reasons why I decided to write a fantasy novel, but I narrowed it down to a few important ones. The first is because I enjoy reading some of them. I devoured the Hunger Games Trilogy, Divergent and Reboot to name a few.
Next, I dreamt the idea. It came to me one night in my dreams, a scene about a group of teens being trained to be knights. Then when I was putting it together, I decided on making the lead character female, based on how I felt the story would progress and because I felt the world could use another strong lead female character.
But while Alora may be strong, like most people, she still has that inner doubt. That inner voice that asks, is she good enough? And can she do it?
I think most people can relate to that.
